A house of Japanese teas, selected like wine.

実り. Minori means harvest, or the fruit of sustained effort. The idea that what is worth having takes time and cannot be rushed. Maison is French. Minori is Japanese. The name reflects both halves of who we are.

Our approach

Maison Minori selects Japanese teas with the rigor applied to single-vineyard wines. Quality begins in the field: the relationship with the producer, the duration of shading, the method of harvest. It is confirmed through sensory evaluation: aroma, texture at the whisk, and taste. What passes enters the catalogue and is fully documented on every tin: the cultivar, the region, the harvest date, and the pack date.

What does not pass does not carry our name. Based in Montréal. Sourced from producers across Japan. Every tin shipped cold.

The Founder

Clarine Humbert-Lacombe

Clarine is a certified Tea Advisor and the founder of Maison Minori. Born in Montréal to a French mother and a Canadian father, she grew up between two cultures built around the table.

Her partner's family introduced her to a way of approaching Japanese tea that most Western markets never encounter. After years of sourcing across Japan and conversations conducted in Japanese alongside her partner, she founded Maison Minori.
